Vanessa Lee NDToronto (Yorkville) Naturopathic Doctor | Vanessa Lee, BSc, ND

Yorkville Naturopathic Office: Bay & Cumberland

Vanessa completed a 4-year program in Cell & Molecular Biology at SFU (Burnaby, BC), earning a Bachelors of Science in Cell & Molecular Biology in 2000. Afterwards, she attended CCNM (Toronto, ON) for 4-years, completing the intensive, full-time, post-graduate, naturopathic diploma program. As a registered Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in Ontario, she is currently a member of the OAND and the CAND. (Click to learn more about the qualifications of a Naturopathic Doctor.)

Vanessa is in her 6th year of practicing as a naturopathic doctor, and currently runs a busy naturopathic practice in downtown Toronto (Yorkville: Bay & Bloor). Every patient is treated as a unique individual with unique circumstances to consider in analyzing their case. As a naturopath, Vanessa really believes in treating the root cause of diseases instead of focusing on just the presenting symptoms. Patient education and a holistic approach are very important in the healing process.

Naturopathic Dispensary: For patient convenience, and to encourage the use of high-quality supplements, Vanessa maintains a supply of vitamins, remedies, and Chinese herbal formulas in the office. Professional quality supplements are more easily absorbed, more bio-available and have more active ingredients than lower quality products - it is true that not all supplements are made equal, even if their labels look very similar.

Outside of her formal training at CCNM, Vanessa continually studies and participates in seminars and programs to further her education. She has completed Levels I and II in Reiki (energy healing), Module A in Matrix Repatterning, and continues to attend seminars in Complex Homeopathy, Nutrition, Personal Development, Acupuncture, and other topics.

On a more personal note, Vanessa comes from a family background of Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners. For those afraid of needles, our clinic now offers Needle-Free Acupuncture through the use of a light electrical pulse that is applied to the skin over the acupuncture points. Her interests in holistic healing stem from a life-long desire to help others and explore the potential healing powers of the natural world.

News: Vanessa is in the process of obtaining AFCI certification (and a CAFCI number), which allows Acupuncture to be claimed through many insurance companies. Estimated Fall/Winter 2010.
